In 1892, the afterwards Governor General of Canada, Lord Frederick Arthur Stanley, dedicated the Silver Bowl to the people of the Dominion of Canada for, “the hold up hockey group in the Dominion.”

Since Lord Stanley gave his Cup for “the hold up hockey group in the Dominion,” it’s not the right of any one though the True Canadian group to be awarded it.

Perhaps the Right Honourable Stephen Harper can step in. Prime Minister Harper has proven himself to be the male of vision, honour as good as the loyal loyalist – as good as an consultant upon Hockey History. Shouldn’t the Stanley Cup be put behind in the caring of the Governor General’s office?
